St. Mark's Altar Guild is a group of parishioners who look after the "behind the scenes" work for the many church services at St. Mark's Parish. This work involves setting up the Eucharist for Sunday and weekday services, as well as for funerals, memorials, baptismal services and weddings. The dusting and tidying of the church, arranging of flowers, care of the linens, and polishing of the sacred silver pieces are all Altar Guild jobs.

Weddings are important occasions, and all of the many details are taken care of by the wedding coordinator, Sandy Schirding, with assistance from other Altar Guild members.

The Altar Guild consists of about 20 dedicated men and women. On the great festive times of the church calendar, they work together to transform the usual quiet beauty of St. Mark's Church into a place of color and shining brightness.
